Stages Repertory Theatre
Oct 11th - Nov 3rd 2013

Stage #1 will be a solo exhibition in the main lobby of Stages Repertory Theatre in Houston Texas. The exhibition will be Oct 11th - Nov 3rd 2013 during the run of Veronica's Room by Ira Levin. It is a great pleasure to be in Houston after almost a decade sense the last exhibition there.

I grew up in and around Houston and it is amazing the growth and revitalization that continues to spread across the city. Houston has always had a DIY mentality that it's residents channel in order to get things done with the resources available, and that mentality is still a driving force in my work as well as my process.

It was an honor to be asked to be the first Artist to exhibit at the theatre in two years, as they are bringing back regular art openings with local area artists.

Galveston Art Center
Sept 21, 2013

A Texas size art exhibit is planned at the Galveston Arts Center, and the community is invited to participate.

The island as been home to many of the finest visual artists in the nation due to the lifestyle and natural light. Talented professional artists have come together for an extraordinary exhibit titled "Galveston Hangs." and individual businesses are asked to support their efforts.

The project challenged 24 artists to create individual murals depicting the theme “What Galveston Means to Me… an artist’s perspective.” The murals will be mounted on the 24 exterior windows of the Historic 1878 First National Bank Building, 2127 Strand, home of the Galveston Arts Center. Rismiller Construction will install the exhibit.

Each 2-by-5-foot mural will be as unique as each artist and will incorporate the logo or name of the sponsor prominently on the mural, offering the benefit of enhanced community visibility. All artwork is designed, painted and signed by the artist. At the conclusion of the exhibit, the mural will become the property of the sponsor to display at the location of his or her choice. Sponsors will receive a biography of the artist before the art installation, and artists and sponsors are invited to attend a reception and unveiling on the Strand.

This is a one-time-only exhibit that will be on display for 45 days. The project will e the largest outdoor art exhibit of individual artists in Galveston history, and sponsorship will support the completion of restoration of the Galveston Arts Center building on The Strand.

Artists participating in Galveston Hangs are: Derek Anderson, Sally Anderson, George Bowes, Reyna Collura, Terry Conrad, Robert Dampier, Joan Finn, Maggie Fuller, Courtney Glascock, Mayuko Gray, Janet Hassinger , Richard Kelver , Marie Leterme, Cara Moore, Jack Morris, Victoria Narkin, Jennifer Peck, Ellie Peters, Elizabeth Punches, Gabriel Prusmack, Gayle Reynolds, Paula Roberts, Saralene Tapley, Martha Terrill, Rene Wiley, and Jane Young French.
